Description:

Eora’s Nature is a preset for Reshade, created to emphasize the beauty of Avowed’s nature and make it even more picturesque. If you feel that the original color scheme is too faded or does not convey the full depth of the game world, this mod will remedy the situation.

The preset adjusts lighting, contrast and saturation to create a more realistic and cinematic image. You can enjoy an updated color palette, better detail and improved shadow depth without sacrificing performance.

Two presets to choose from

Important: Use only one of the preset options depending on your screen type.

  • Eora’s Nature SDR is a basic version for regular SDR monitors that do not support HDR. If you don’t have an HDR screen or it is disabled, choose this option.
  • Eora’s Nature HDR – a modified version for HDR displays. Since the author does not have an HDR monitor, there may be inaccuracies – if something does not work correctly, report it and the preset will be finalized.

Recommendations

Disable or reduce sharpening in the game settings – the preset already includes a layer of sharpening, and excessive detail can ruin the picture.

Activate Performance Mode in Reshade settings – this will help to maintain performance.

How to install a preset?

  • Download and extract the archive with the desired preset (SDR or HDR).
  • Download Reshade from the official website. If you are not sure which version to choose, just take the basic one.
  • Run Reshade.exe and click Browse… to select the .exe of your Avowed.
  • Select the API – if the program doesn’t detect it automatically, check DirectX 10/11/12 and click Next.
  • Load the preset you downloaded and wait for the necessary effects to be installed.
  • Move the reshade-shaders folder from the downloaded archive to the .exe directory of the game. The file lutAvowed.png should be in the Textures folder.
  • Start the game – if everything is done correctly, the Reshade banner will appear at the top of the screen.

Press the Home key on your keyboard to open the Reshade menu and find LUT.fx. Under PreprocessorDefinitions, make sure it says “lutAvowed.png”. If not, enter it manually (with quotes).

Now enjoy the improved graphics!
