Better Attributes

Better Attributes is a modification for Avowed that makes the attribute system more flexible and efficient. Now the bonuses from characteristics are more visible and their impact on gameplay is more tangible. In addition, the game will be able to get additional character points at each level, which will allow you to customize your character more deeply and adapt it to your play style.

What does the Better Attributes mod change?

This mod is presented in two versions:

• Better Attributes – redesigns the system of characteristic bonuses, making them more meaningful.
• More Attributes – allows you to gain more characteristic points at each level (x2, x3 or x5).
• Both versions can be used separately or combined with each other.

The updated characteristic bonuses in the Better Attributes version are as follows

• Dexterity – Attack, cast, parkour, and item use speeds now increase 20% faster. In numbers, this means that instead of a 4%/7% increase, it’s now 5%/8.5%.
• Resolve – doubled stamina per level (5 → 10) and 20% better health regeneration from Second Wind.
• Constitution – the base health level has been increased by 20% (100 → 120) and the health gain per level has increased from 5% to 6%. Poison and
• Bleed resistance has also increased by 20% (6% → 7.2% per level).
• Perception – The crit chance now increases 30% faster (3% → 4%) and maximum attack range increases 20% faster (5% → 6%).
• Intellect – character now gains twice as much Essence per level (5 → 10), and elemental damage resistance increases 20% faster (6% → 7.2%).
• Strength (Might) – base payload has been increased by 1.5 times (120 → 180), and damage bonus now grows 1.5 times faster (3% → 4.5%).
• More Attributes version – more characteristic points

For those who want even more pumping flexibility, there is the More Attributes version, which gives 2 extra characteristic points per level. Versions that increase this amount by 3 or 5 times are also available, allowing you to create unique builds and make your character as strong as possible.

Better Attributes works best in combination with More Attributes, allowing you to not only increase the bonuses from characteristics, but also to flexibly distribute additional points as you level up.

Installing the mod

1. Unzip the archive files into your game folder.
2. Make sure that the files 000_MoreAttributes_P and/or 000_BetterAttributes_P appear in the directory Alabama/Content/Paks/~mods.

If you are using Game Pass, the installation path will be:
/Avowed/Content/Alabama/Content/Paks/~mods

Removing a mod

Delete the 000_MoreAttributes_P and/or 000_BetterAttributes_P files from the ~mods folder and all modifications will be undone.

Compatibility and features

• Fully compatible with other mods.
• Works with Steam and Game Pass (PC) versions of the game.
• Does not disable achievements.

The Better Attributes mod is also compatible with Better Carry Weight, but in this case, Might’s characterization changes may conflict. If you want Better Carry Weight changes to take precedence, simply rename the Better Attributes files by changing 000_ to something lower in alphabetical order (e.g. ZZZ_).
